Super Jap Trilogy

"THE RETURN OF SUPER JAP" (DIR. HIROSHI LIZUKA) The Super Jap trilogy is the story of Taro Yamata, the grandson of a Japanese soldier, killed on the sands of Iwo Jima in the Second World War. Yamata, in the first part of the trilogy, arrives in America in an attempt to avenge his grandfather's death. This scheme manifests itself in a hilariously mismanaged attempt to score with American women, or in his own words "Sink an American battleship"

ENORA GAY (DIR. KUNIHIKO MIURA) In this part of the trilogy, Yamata challenges an American arm wrestler, Captain America, to a bout of arm wrestling and soon finds that his hopes of revenge go up in smoke.

TENNIS MOVIE (DIR. JASON F. GILBERT) In this final chapter of the trilogy, Yamata challenges the grandson of Lieutenant Shouse, the man who killed his grandfather, to a friendly Tennis match. The result is anything but friendly.

The Super Jap Trilogy won third place in the prestigious Indies Fest in Yokohama, Japan in 2003.
